|From Inspiration to Transformation|
Good morning, good afternoon, good evening to you, wherever you are in the world. This morning I woke up at 4 am. I scrolled through my Twitter feed and came across a random link entitled “ How to write 10,000 words a day. Something about this title intrigued me, not only because I have been actively writing between 5,000 and 10,000 words a day for the past couple of months. But also because I actually had a dream about that very topic, strangely enough. I clicked on it only to find out that the author of the piece was none other than blogging superstar Ryan Biddulph. I have actually read a couple of his eBooks. So I read the blog post with a keen eye, digesting and assimilating all the information. I soaked it up like a sponge, and I realised that it was time to kick it up a gear. I believe that there is always room for improvement ,and I have no problem admitting that.
Since this blog is about self improvement/personal development as well as plant based living. I think it is really important that I use this space, to not only improve my own life, but to inspire others and in turn, improve their lives too. So, this blog post is basically about how one blog post, one article, one movie, one sentence from a book can change your life, or your perspective on life forever. However, it is vital that you take that inspiration and actually dive in, and take action. So many people get stuck, they become overwhelmed, analysis paralysis sets in and they forget how to take action. In this post I am going to talk about how you can take that inspiration and transfer into affirmative action that will change your life for the better.
Have you ever just seen a picture on Instagram, or watched a video on Youtube and just felt totally inspired to create something? To change your life, to get on with that project that you have been putting off for months? But then do you also find yourself writing lists upon lists of things you want to do with that inspiration, but you just never get to actually starting ? Well, here is what you do create a drop sheet. Yes, a drop sheet! Write down a whole bunch of ideas, thoughts, words that come to mind. Then make sense of the jargon, this is an exercise I do to detangle the mess in my head. Trust me, it works! For example, you want to lose weight, you were inspired by some really amazing weight loss transformations online. But you just don't know where to start, here is what you do.
Create a Vision Board
Creating a vision board is the perfect way to visualise what you want to achieve. It is the perfect way to see everything you are working towards in technicolour. It brings it to life, takes it from idea to visual actualisation. So it is no longer just something you see in your minds eye somewhere in the distant future. It is something that you see in the present day, almost like you have it already, you are living that life already, you have opened the doors to your business already. Your first book has already been published. Everything that you are working for has already manifested in the physical. Make your vision board as clear and precise as possible, don't leave anything out. You might have lots of different goals on your vision board, but make sure you include this current goal, or if you already have a vision board, modify and add this to it too. Now you go from vision board to solidifying the research. So, you might have already done a ton of research, and you are still feel overwhelmed as to what to do. Remember this, you don't acquire all the relevant information in order to start. You can start and learn as you go, take action, and study on the fly!
6 Action Steps
Now list your 6 action steps for the day. You have to carry out these 6 action steps each and every day to achieve your goal. These steps are priority steps, these are the things that you NEED to do in order to move from inspiration to transformation. For example, the 6 action steps that I would take daily if I wanted to lose weight would be:
I am a massive fan of Matthew Armstrong from Be Your Potential. He consistently talks about these 6 priority action steps to take daily in order to smash your life goals. I have practised this over the past few years, and have seen massive progress in my overall achievement of life goals. Obviously, you set your own goals and write down your own 6 action steps. The whole idea is to eliminate the “overwhelm”. It allows you to focus and remain consistent without reaching that dreaded stage of total burnout.
Did this blog post inspire you to take action? If you are reading this, you probably want to change your life for the better. Whether that be through your diet or overall personal development. If you have a goal that you want to achieve then I would strongly suggest you take a look at the following book by Laura Fortgang. This is one of my favourite kickass personal development books, she provides you with the exact steps you need to take your ideas from just head thoughts to actual physical manifestations. The book is, Take Yourself to the Top by Laura BermanFortgang. Read it, trust me, it will change your life.
If you want to build a residual income and become a badass money making blogger, then you might want to take a look at Ryan Biddulph's books. His blog post on “ How to Write 10,000 words in a day” is what inspired me to write this blog post in the first place. His eBook “ How to Commit to your goals 1000%” is an awesome book to read if you are struggling with remaining consistent and sticking to your goals. This book will kick you into gear!
